Who runs your training
Orlando started out in production building boards, then moved into quality assurance. Seeing the same errors come back again and again is what pushed him into training. Good operators were getting handed a binder and a bench and left to work it out on their own. Twenty-five years in manufacturing later, he has run more than 500 trainings across San Diego County in the last four years alone.
He holds Certified IPC Trainer credentials across eight IPC standards, including every one we teach. That means IPC has qualified him to train and certify operators to those standards. Very few people in the county hold it across this many standards and experience.
He teaches the way the work actually happens. What the standard says, why it says it, and what an inspector is going to reject on Monday morning.

Every student is registered by name and the certification is traceable through IPC, now the Global Electronics Association. You get the roster with the final invoice.

Price your class by standard
Outside provider pricing is an estimate based on published rates for comparable courses. The in-house trainer figure uses an $80,000 base salary and does not include benefits, payroll tax, or the cost of keeping that person certified. Our figures include the IPC exam credit. Your actual quote depends on standard, headcount, and location. Computers for the bookwork portion are supplied by the client.
Where we go
If you are inside the driving radius below, there is no travel charge on the quote.
Outside that radius? Ask anyway. We quote travel separately and it is often still cheaper than sending a crew away for a week.
Questions
Inspectors and quality staff usually need IPC-A-610. Operators who solder boards usually need J-STD-001, plus the Space addendum for space hardware. Cable and harness builders need IPC/WHMA-A-620. Plenty of shops certify to more than one.
A Certified IPC Trainer at your facility, the course and the certification exams. The IPC exam credit is billed as its own line at exactly what IPC charges us. Credits are non-refundable once purchased, so we confirm your roster before we buy them. Workmanship kits are their own line where the standard calls for them, and you buy books directly.

One to ten students per class, and seven is the sweet spot. Larger groups get split across consecutive days so nobody is standing around waiting for bench time.

Roughly a week from a signed quote. The limiting factor is usually workmanship kits arriving, not our calendar, and we start that clock the day you sign.
We invoice on contract execution with net 30 terms. A portion is due upfront to cover the IPC exam credits and workmanship kits, since we purchase those before the class runs.
